MISHAWAKA - Nicole Sue "Nikki"
Cummins, 55, formerly of Plymouth, a resident of the
Mishawaka area since 1986, died following a short illness on
Sunday, October 31, 1999, at 10 a.m. in Memorial Hospital, South
Bend. Nikki lived at 58754 Ireland Trail, Mishawaka, Ind.
She was born February 23, 1944, in South
Bend, Indiana, the daughter of George L. and Maryann Zimmerman
Rankin. She graduated from Plymouth High School in 1962.
On January 4, 1964, in Plymouth, she married
Ray Cummins. She was a waitress at Denny's Restaurant for 20
years. Nikki was a loving person. She spent as much time as she
could with her family, especially her grandchildren to whom she
was devoted. She enjoyed outdoors activities, particularly flower
gardening and yard work.
Ray Cummins, Nicole's husband, survives,
along with their two children: a daughter, Patricia and Dan Collins,
South Bend, and a son, Michael and Tina Cummins, Buchanan,
Michigan; and ten beloved grandchildren. Nicole's parents, George
and Maryann Rankin, Plymouth, a sister, Karen K. Roush,
South Bend, and her mother-in-law, Silvia Cummins, Plymouth,
survive as well.
Friends may visit with the family from 2 to
8 p.m. today in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N.
Michigan St., Plymouth. Pastor Stephen Patrick of the House of
the Lord will conduct the funeral service in the funeral home on
Wednesday, November 3, 1999, at 11 a.m. Memorial gifts in
Nicole's memory may be made to the Brain Tumor Foundation.
