Chester Cecil Crum

Chester Cecil Crum, 82, of
Bittersweet Road, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after a two month
illness at 9:20 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 31, in Saint Joseph's
Community Hospital. Chester was an industrial engineer and worked
for the Uniroyal Corporation. He presently owned and operated
Paul Bunyan Stump Removal. He had lived in Mishawaka all of his
life. Chester was a World War II Army Veteran, a graduate of
Mishawaka High School and attended Western Michigan University.
He also was a member of the Cedar Road Missionary Church,
Osceola. Chester was born on July 24, 1918 in Mishawaka to the
late Earl and Eunice (Crain) Crum. He was also preceded in
death by a son, Warren Crum; and by two brothers, Roger and
Rolland Crum.
He was married on Aug. 17, 1940, in Osceola,
Ind., to Metta (Clinehens) Crum who survives. Also
surviving is a son, Maurice and (Connie) Crum of Mishawaka; a
daughter-in-law, Marcia and (Tom) Rosselit of Niles; five
grandchildren, Anita and (Mark) Fry, Angela and (Dan) Ayers,
Tammy and (Brian) Armstrong, David and (Rhonda) Crum and
Jamie and (Kellie) Crum; six great-grandchildren; and a brother,
Howard and (Irene) Crum of Ann Arbor, Mich.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on
Thursday, Jan. 4, in the Cedar Road Missionary Church, with Rev.
Jim Larnard, Rev. Terry Powell and Rev. Norris Hunsberger
officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial
Park, Granger, Ind. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on
Wednesday, Jan. 3, in the Palmer Funeral Home, 1109 Lincolnway
West, Osceola, and one hour before services in the church.

Cedar Road Missionary Church.
