Mrs. Lloyd (Genevieve) Crothers: (South Bend Tribune 12/10/1983)
Mrs. Genevieve A. Crothers, 62, of 930 Golfview, died at 1 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph’s Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born on Jan. 15, 1921, in South Bend and lived here her entire life. On Aug. 9, 1941, in South Bend, she married Lloyd E. Crothers. He survives with three daughters, Mrs. Richard (Barbara) St. Germain and Mrs. Raymond (Mary) Jeziorski, both of Texas, and Mrs. Joseph (Dorothy) Banaszak of South Bend; four sons, David J. of Mishawaka, Robert J. of Elkhart, and Bernie and Alan, both of South Bend; 11 grandchildren; and four sisters, Mrs. Irene McFarren, Mrs. Henrietta Reiter, Mrs. Loretta Ritschard and Mrs. Harriett Podemski, all of South Bend. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Matthew Cathedral with Rev. David Voors, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Guisinger Colonial Chapel, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions  may be made to St. Jude Research Hospital, Memphis, Tenn. She was a member of St. Matthew Cathedral.
