Bernice R. Cronk, 91, residing on
East Donald Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 11:24 p.m.
Tuesday, May 28, in Borgess Hospital, Kalamazoo, Mich. Mrs. Cronk
retired in 1944 from Bendix Corporation after 16 years of
service. She was born on Dec. 8, 1910, in Marion, Ind., as the
daughter of Frank H. and Amanda (Snauffer) Taylor,
and was a lifelong resident in the South Bend area.
On Aug. 21, 1940, in Mishawaka, Ind., she
married George H. Cronk, who preceded her in death on Aug. 1,
1965. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Lucille Oliver,
Helen Hanson and Esther Schultz. Mrs. Cronk is
survived by two daughters and their husbands, Pat E. and David Davis
of Mishawaka, and Joyce S. and Duey Mitchell of Sister
Lakes, Mich.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren;
and by a sister, Leona M. Wood of South Bend.
Funeral services for Mrs. Cronk will be held
at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 1, in the Palmer Funeral Home, 2528
Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Rev. Larry Baker, pastor of First
Brethren Church, South Bend, will officiate. Entombment will
follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind. Friends may
call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
