SOUTH  BEND – a solemn requiem mass will be conducted in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church Tuesday morning at 9:30 o’clock for Thornton R. W. Cressy of 1127 N. St. Peter Street, with Rev J. M. Brannigan CSC, assistant pastor, the celebrant. Rev. John J. O’Rourke CSC, pastor, will serve as deacon, and Rev. Bernard Lang CSC of Notre Dame, the sub-deacon. The Moreau seminary choir will sing. Internment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Cressy, who was employed as a carpenter at Notre Dame for over 40 years died Saturday night of paralysis.
