Thomas Joseph Cressy, 59, of E. Edison Rd., Osceola, passed away Saturday morning in the Elkhart General Hospital. Thomas was born on May 7, 1941, in South Bend, to Robert and Dorothy Cressy. Thomas was employed as an insurance agent for thirty years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge of Mishawaka and the Elkhart Crin Club.
On August 25, 1962, in South Bend, Thomas married Erma Hemig. Thomas is survived by his wife, Erma; their three children, Laurie Cressy of Indianapolis, Mike Cressy of Mishawaka, and David Cressy of Chillicothe, Illinois. He is also survived by his mother, Dorothy Cressy of South Bend; three grandchildren, Grace Rebekah Cressy, Rose Emma Cressy, and Dylan Michael Cressy; two sisters, Joanne Roe of North Liberty and Cathrine Lovitt of Syracuse, Ind.; and by one brother, Guy R. Cressy of South Bend. Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Robert Joseph Cressy.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, May 15th, at the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. The funeral ceremony will be conducted at 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 16th, in the funeral chapel. Officiating the service will be Father Edward Ruetz. Burial is to follow at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
