SOUTH BEND – Ralph J. Cressy,
73, of 1234 Woodlawn, died in his residence Monday. He was born
Apr. 22, 1899 in South Bend and lived here his entire life. He
retired in 1964 from Prudential Insurance after 33 years as an
agent
His wife, the former Cecelia Slegzikowski
died in 1963. Surviving are a son William R. of South Bend; a
daughter, Mrs. Virginia Grant of San Francisco, Calif.; a
brother, Thornton Cressy of Hillsdale, Mich.; five grandchildren,
and a great-grandson.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight
and from2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Hickey Funeral Home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Catholic
Church. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. He was a member
of St. Joseph Catholic Church and its usher club.
Editor: The correct spelling oh his wife’s
name is Cecelia Sledzikowska. He is the son of Sarah Stones
and Thornton Robert William Cressy.
