Margot E. Craven

September 22, 1919 – March 13, 1996

SOUTH BEND – Margot E. Craven, 76, of Fairview Street, died at 12:25am today in her home after an illness.  Mrs. Craven was the former co-owner of Craven’s Hardware.

She was born September 22, 1919, in Hagen, Germany, and lived in South Bend most of her life.  On December 17, 1938, in South Bend, as Margot E. Schultz, she married Fredrick D. Craven.  He died December 9, 1989.

She is survived by a daughter, Mindy Craven Wheeler of Lynchburg VA; two sons, Jon P of Portland OR and Michael F of Elkhart; three grandchildren; and a sister, Hildegarde Cholasinski of South Bend.  She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ.

Services will be art 11am Saturday in the church.  Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call from 4 to7pm Friday in Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood Drive, and an hour before services Saturday in the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St Joseph County IN.
