Thomas Ray Craft, 52, of 19495
Clifford St., South Bend, passed away at 9:15 p.m. Friday, Dec.
20, 1996. Thomas had worked for South Bend's Ries Furniture for
the past 27 years. Born Feb. 24, 1944, in South Bend, he had been
a lifelong area resident.
Survivors include a daughter, Melony Craft
of South Bend, a son, Marcus Craft Sr. of South Bend, two
grandsons, Alexander and Marcus Jr. Also surviving are two
sisters, Judy Walls of Niles, Mich. and Irma Jean Steinhagen
of Sebring, Fla. and a brother, Dale Craft of Sebring. One son,
Danny Craft preceded him in death.
Services will be held Monday, Dec. 23 at 1
p.m. Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens,
Osceola. Friends may call Sunday, from 2 to 6 p.m. Visitation and
services will be held at Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home.
Thomas was a Vietnam Army veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 624, South Bend, an active reserve for the National Guard and an officer at the Democratic Club. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Society.
