FRED H. COUCH, 80, died Monday, May 10, 2004, at Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. Born in South Bend, he was a Salesman with Waters Instruments for 20 years, retiring in 1991, and also worked for Kroger and Dilgard Frozen Food. He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps. during World War II, and was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Margaret C. Couch of Fort Wayne; sons, Fred M. and Mark H. Couch, both of Fort Wayne; daughters, Patricia A. Couch and Pamela J. Marx, both of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Victor J. Couch of South Bend; sisters, Margarita Humphrey and Cecilia M. Bauters, both of South Bend. He was preceded in death by brothers, Leo, Howard and James Couch. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling is also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at D.O. McComb & Sons, Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road, with Vigil at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Burial is noon Friday in Greenwood Cemetery, 153 Tilden Ave., Michigan City, Ind. Memorials to Masses, Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home or Turnstone Center.
