Katharine Cottrell

Katharine ''Grammie'' Cottrell, 89, of 606 Hubbard Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an ex-tended illness at 12:55 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 13, in the Hospice House of St. Joseph Coun-ty.

Mrs. Cottrell was born on July 25, 1910, in Bourbon, Ind., and was a lifetime resident of the Michiana area.

Mrs. Cottrell is survived by two daughters, Jan (Dick) Geyer of North Liberty, Ind., and Betty (Bob) Epstein of Downers Grove, Ill.; six grandchildren, Carol (Don) Hendrich of Westmont, Ill., Kathy (Ed) Forst of Bolingbrook, Ill., Judy (Mike) Calans of Evanston, Ill., Mark Morgan of Goshen, Ind., Kim (Dale) McDaniels of LaPorte, Ind., and Richard Geyer, Jr., of Fish Lake, Ind.; seven great-grandchildren; and by special friends, Lou Arnold of South Bend, Ind., and John and Pixie Dezameitz of Mishawaka.

Visitation hours will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today in the Hanley & Sons ''Southwest Chapel'' Funeral Home, located at West Ireland Road/Indiana 23, South Bend.

Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 15, in the funeral home, with Pastor Sam Oliver officiating. Burial will follow at Parks Cemetery, Bourbon, Ind.

The family request that all memorial contributions be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.

The Hanley & Sons ''Southwest Chapel'' Funeral Home, located at West Ireland Road/Indiana 23, South Bend, handled services and extend heartfelt sympathy to the family of Mrs. Cottrell.
