SOUTH BEND - Jane Costello, 91, of Medco Nursing Center, formerly of Park Jefferson Apartments, died at 5:30 a.m. Saturday in the nursing center. Mrs. Costello retired from South Bend Lathe as a telephone switchboard operator and had been employed by Wilson Brothers. She was born Jan. 27, 1902, in South Bend.

On May 26, 1951, in South Bend, as Jane Noble, she married Albert T. Costello. He died Aug. 31, 1985. Surviving are a brother, John Noble of South Bend; two nieces, Patricia DeClercq and Norma Kovach, both of South Bend; and two nephews, Russell Johnson of Bradenton, Fla., and Kenny Noble of South Bend. She was a member of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday in Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
