Donna M. Cortier, 81, of St. Joseph's Towers, South Bend, passed away after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer at 3:40 a.m. Wednesday, August 2, in Healthwin Specialized Care Center, South Bend. She was born on October 17, 1924, in Galien, Michigan, to the late Zella (Woods) and Jack Price. On February 17, 1951, in South Bend, as Donna M. Price, she married Robert A. Cortier, who preceded her in death in 1972. Mrs. Cortier is survived by three daughters, Lois Kathleen Harlan and Michelle (Ernest) Lansford, all of South Bend, and Denise (Daniel) McCoy of Hendersonville, North Carolina; a son, Robert Cortier of South Bend; and seven grandchildren. Mrs. Cortier was a switchboard operator for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and later became an office worker for St. Joseph's Towers. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend, and will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched.

A memorial graveside service will be conducted by the family at 3 p.m. Saturday, August 5, at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Indiana. Cremation has taken place at the Michiana Crematory, South Bend, and burial will be in the cemetery prior to the memorial graveside service. The Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North assisted the family with arrangements.
