Maynard J. Correll, Jr., 82, residing on Denslow Drive, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 4:15 p.m. on Monday, March 2, in Memorial Hospital. Mr. Correll was a retired employee of the Bendix Corporation where he served as plant manager following 42 years of service. He was born on March 17, 1915, in South Bend, to the late Maynard J. and Olga (Henrikowski) Correll, and had lived in South Bend all of his life. He was a member of Moose Lodge 599 in Elkhart and Mishawaka Masonic Lodge 130.

He is survived by three sons, Ronald L. Correll, Sr., of Granger, Ind., Dennis R. Correll, Sr., of Mishawaka, Ind., and Maynard R. Correll of Roanoke, Va.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Carline Sheets of Osceola, Ind., Betty Wore and Shirley Horn, both of Prescott, Ariz.; and by two brothers, Ward Correll of Elkhart, Ind., and Robert Correll of St. James City, Fla.

There will be no services or visitation. Cremation will take place.  The Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, is handling arrangements for Mr. Correll.

Editor: He married Theophila Gladys Smyslo on 2-3-1940 in St. Joseph County IN. She died 9-18-1996.
