James Henry Corner. James Henry Corner, aged 63, of 652 Lawndale avenue, died at 3:45 a.m. today in St. Joseph hospital after an illness of four months. He was born in Valpariso, Ind., April 12, 1880, and came to this city 45 years ago from Walkrton, this county. He had been an employee of the Studebaker corporation for 27 years. He married Pearl Garnett Anderson in August, 1905. She died April 12, 1936. On April 22, 1939 in this city, he married Loretta Jane Deka, who survives. He leaves also the children, Gerald Corner of Santa Monica, Calif.; Mrs. Mae Hall, Leonard Corner and Mrs. Harrison Talcott, jr., all of South Bend; three sisters, Mrs. Lottie Ernie Hardy, of Mishawaka; Mrs. Guy Jones, of Hamlet, Ind., and Mrs. Jess Jones, of Laporte, Ind.; and a brother, Macellan Corner, of Fort Nella, Neb. Friends may call at the Hay funeral home Tuesday evening and until the funeral there at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. Robert M. Selle, pastor of St. Paul’s Memorial Methodist church, will officiate. Burial will be in South Lawn cemetery.
