Mark A. Corey, 40, of Day Road, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away following a short illness at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. He was born Oct. 31, 1962, in Mishawaka, to Donald and Rilla (Bowman) Corey. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Corey; and by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William (Rilla) Bowman, Mr. and Mrs. Neil (Rosa) Corey, and Mr. and Mrs. Nelson "Hap" (Anna) Peterson.

Mr. Corey was a landscaper for Bob's Landscaping of Granger, Ind., and was also a member of the Moose, South Bend Lodge # 58 and the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, Osceola, Ind.

He is survived by his mother, Rilla Corey of Mishawaka; his sister and brother, Christine Corey of Mishawaka and Gordon Ray (Marlene) Corey of South Bend, Ind.; and by two nieces, one nephew, one great-niece and three great-nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Corey will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, where friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will follow the services on Friday at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
