Edwin F. Copper

Edwin F. Copper, 86, formerly of Park Avenue, passed away on Monday, Jan. 6, at Regency Place.

Edwin was born on May 24, 1910, in McKeesport, Penn., to James F. and Loria (Netzle) Copper.

On Nov. 26, 1936, in Oak Park, Ill., he married Margery Kleinefeld, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Margaret Alice Hanke of Siera Vista, Ariz.; two granddaughters, Beth Stowell and Loria Schmitt; two great-grandsons, Christopher and James Stowell; and a brother, William J. Copper of McKeesport, Penn.

Edwin retired from Robinson’s Department Store in 1978 after 25 years as an interior designer. He was a member of the Cathedral of St. James, and the American Society of Interior Designers.

Memorial services for Edwin will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, at the Cathedral of St. James Espicopal, 117 N. Lafayette, South Bend, with entombment to follow at the Cathedral. Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of St. James. Welsheimer Funeral Home handled arrangements.
