Marcell C. Cooreman, 87, of Hurd Road, New Carlisle, died Sunday evening in his residence. He was born on April 14, 1910 in Moline, Ill. and lived in this area since 1927, coming from Minnesota. He was a self-employed farmer.

He was married on Feb. 16, 1933 to Erma Rodts, who survives, along with; two daughters, Marjorie Flatt of Springfield, Ohio, and Rosie (Frank) DeMarco of Chicago; a son, Marcell (Judy) P. Cooreman of New Carlisle; eight grandchildren; four brothers, Steve and Paul Cooreman of New Carlisle, August of South Bend, and Henry of Mishawaka. He was preceded in daeth by a sister, Mary Landuyt.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. in the St. Joseph Funeral Home where a rosary will be at 6 p.m. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday in Holy Family Catholic Church with burial in Fairview Cemetery.
