Erma Mary Cooreman, 88, of Hurd Road,
New Carlisle, Ind., died at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, in
Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, Ill. She
was born in Goshen, Ind., on July 29, 1912, to Alfons and Adella Rodts,
both preceding her in death, and had lived in the area since
1950.
On Feb. 19, 1933, she married Marcell C.
Cooreman, who preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 1998. Also
preceding her in death were two sisters, Lena Bickel and
Alvina Moser; and two brothers, Raymond Rodts and Emiel
Rodts. Erma was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church,
Crumstown Conservation Club, and the Farm Bureau. Surviving are
two daughters, Marjorie Flatt of Springfield, Ohio, and
Rosie (Frank) DeMarco of Chicago; one son, Marcell (Judy)
Cooreman of New Carlisle; eight grandchildren, David E. (Darla)
Flatt of New York, Scott Alan (Patti) Flatt of Lexington, Ky.,
Mary Rizzo of Chicago, Roseann DeMarco of Chicago, Frank
Marcell DeMarco of Chicago, Cheryl Cooreman, Stacy Cooreman and
Dana Cooreman, all of New Carlisle; and one great-granddaughter,
Jordan Noel Flatt of Lexington.
Family and friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m.
today, March 14, in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower
Road, South Bend, where a Rosary will be said at 4:30 p.m. today,
March 14, 2001.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on
Thursday, March 15, in Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will
be at the Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
