MISHAWAKA - Amanda Cooper, 85, of 318 W. 13th St., died at 6:20 a.m. Tuesday in Countryside Place. Mrs. Cooper was born May 29, 1908, in Monette, Ark., and had lived in Mishawaka since 1950, coming from Jonesboro, Ark.

On Dec. 25, 1924, in Jonesboro, as Amanda Stalcup, she married Walter Cooper. He survives with a daughter, Doris Gyarmatic of Mishawaka; a son, E.H. “Jack” of South Bend; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jewel Newcom of Jonesboro.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Emerson Funeral Home, Jonesboro. Burial will be in Nettleton Cemetery, Jonesboro. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Warner Funeral Home, Osceola, handled local arrangements.
