Mrs. Mabel Coon

July 1, 1901 – September 29, 1979

Mrs. Mabel Coon, 78, of 1098 Patty Lane, died at 3pm Saturday in Fountainview Nursing Home, Mishawaka, following a two month illness.

She was born on July 1, 1901, in Michigan, and lived most of her life in the South Bend area. On September 14, 1932, in South Bend, as Mabel Miller, she married Lawrence W. Coon.  He died on January 19, 1971.  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Theresa Neuman of Cleveland OH; two sons, William Kinas of Cleveland and Lloyd Coon of Chesterland OH; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Mildred Theneger of Plymouth and Mrs. Mary Alice Barkheimer of Anderson; a stepson, Dale Koon of Plymouth; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Monday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, Mishawaka.  Mrs. Coon was a member of the Christian Center Church.
