SOUTH BEND - Danny C. "Biker Dan" Cook, 52 of
South Bend, IN., passed away at 4:08 p.m. Saturday, December 15,
2007, in Elkhart General Hospital. Danny was born on January 24,
1955, in Mishawaka, IN., to Joe and Melba (Dunevant) Cook.
Danny graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1974, and received
an associate degree in business management from Ball State
University. He worked at Hartland R.V. in Elkhart. His hobbies
included riding his Harley, fishing and camping, and he was a
member of Hell's Angels. He took great joy in spending time with
his family and friends. He had a heart of gold and was always
there to lend a helping hand.
Danny was preceded in death by his mother,
Melba (Shorty) Cook. He is survived by his fiancée, Red and her
daughter, Jami; his father and step mother, Joe and Judy Cook of
North Fort Myers, FL; his sisters, Debra Cook of Elkhart, Pam Hart
of Mishawaka, Deb (Glen) Thomas of Walkerton, and Tina Salinas
of South Bend; six nieces and nephews; and six great-nieces and
nephews.
Family and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m.
on Thursday, December 20, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N.
Main Street, Mishawaka, where funeral services will begin at 11
a.m. on Friday December 21; there will also be visitation on
Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. Pastor Dennis A. Carroll Sr., will
officiate the services with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery
in Mishawaka. Memorial contributions may be made to Red and Jami.
