Mary Nellie Conroy

Mrs. William E. Conroy, aged 74, of 316 Lincoln Way East, a lifelong resident of this city, died at 1:30 a.m. today in St. Joseph hospital. She had been ill five days.

Mrs. Conroy was born Aug. 16, 1862, in Mishawaka. She had lived in the Susie M. Beiger home since 1934. As Nellie Eberhart she was married July 15, 1899, to William E. Conroy, who died 20 years ago.

Mrs. Conroy was the daughter of the late John H. Eberhart, who with his brother, Adolphus, operated the Eberhart Milling company in this city. She was a cousin of the late Fred, E. G. and James Eberhart.

 

One sister survives, Mrs. W. D. Keyes, of Indianapolis. Mrs. Conroy was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal pro-cathedral.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's pro-cathedral for Mrs. William E. Conroy, aged 74, of 316 Lincoln Way East. Rev. A. I. Drake, dean of the pro-cathedral, will conduct services and burial will be in the city cemetery. The body may be viewed in the Sprague chapel until 12:30 p.m. Wednesday when it will be taken to the church. There it may be viewed until the time of the service.
