James J. Connors, 75, of South Bend, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2006, in the Milton House, Marion St., South Bend, IN. James was born on April 28, 1931, in South Bend, to Francis "Buck" and Margaret (Wisneski) Connors. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Andrew Connors; and his sister, Irene Schirf. On April 28, 1956, he married Louise Zawiercha. She survives along with their children, Cynthia Ann (Fred) Huber of Hyde Park, NY, Ann Marie (Lupe) Salazar of Mishawaka, Catherine Louise Connors of Houston, TX, James Joseph (Sara) Connors II of Colorado Springs, CO, and Timothy Allan (Shelley) Connors of South bend; seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; brother, Francis "Buddy" Connors Jr. of South Bend; and his sister, Dorothy Aponas of Jacksonville, FL.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2006, at 3:30 p.m. in the Cathedral of St. Matthew. Burial will take place at a later date at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
