MISHAWAKA - Verna Dean Conley, 78, of Mishawaka, passed
away at 8:30 a.m., Thursday, May 29, 2008, in Hubbard Hills
Estates, Elkhart. Verna was born on September 22, 1929, in
Cloverdale, AL, to the late Frank and Fannie (Davis) Goodman.
On July 18, 1950, she married Rev. Clyde
Conley, who passed away on April 6, 2002. Verna is survived by
two sons, Bruce (Debbie) Conley of Florence, AL and David (Linda)
Conley of Kissimmee, FL; one daughter, Kay (Doyal) Hambrick
of Osceola; four grandchildren, Jeremy Thompson, Brandon
Thompson, Tommy Conley, and Taylor Conely; eight
great-grandchildren, Justin, Mitchell, Kaylin, Gabriela, Lacey,
Callie, Baker, and Addie. She is also survived by two sisters,
Lorene Victory and Movelean Hendrix, both of
Florence, AL She will be remembered for her love of pets,
gardening and her doll collections.
Friends may visit with the family from
2:00-6:00 p.m., Sunday, June 1, 2008, in Chapel Hill Funeral
Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral Services will be
held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 2, 2008 in Southside General
Baptist Church, 1615 South Spring Street, Mishawaka. Burial will
follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola Memorial
