GRANGER - Marilyn E. Collins, 72, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2008, in Ironwood Health & Rehabilitation, South Bend. She retired after 16 years of service as church secretary of Evangelical Covenant Church, South Bend. Marilyn was born on July 17, 1965, in Benton Harbor, MI, to Edwin T. and Merion (Kesler) Reynolds.

On October 19, 1955, in Mishawaka, IN, she married H. David Collins, who survives. Along with her husband of 52 years, David Collins, she is survived by her daughter, Carol Collins of Spring, TX; a son, Jim (Stacey) Collins of Fayetteville, GA; two grandchildren, Heather Collins and Jameson Collins of Fayetteville, GA; a sister, Virginia Saclarids of Tampa, FL; and a brother, Edwin H. (Heidi) Reynolds of Greenfield, IN. Marilyn graduated in 1954 from Mishawaka High School and was a member of the Mishawaka Alumni Association, which she really enjoyed. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, birds and flower gardening. Marilyn was a detailed person who liked perfection. She loved children.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 16, in the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend. Rev. Kendall Dahlstrom will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, IN. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM today in the funeral home.
