GRANGER - Joan Coleman, 66, of
Gumwood Road, died at 9:47 a.m. Friday in Meridian Nursing
Center-Cardinal, South Bend, of natural causes. Mrs. Coleman
retired from GMAC of South Bend in 1988 after 32 years service.
She was born Aug. 3, 1928, in Heron, Ill.
On Aug. 1, 1959, in Mishawaka, as Joan Campbell,
she married Hershel Coleman. He survives with a daughter, Connie
J. Gage of South Bend; two sons, Edward L. Hoke of
Bradenton, Fla., and Dennis L. Hoke of Elkhart; a stepdaughter,
Suzanne C. Matthys of South Bend; three stepsons, Donald
R. of Lakeville, James R. of Bremen and Thomas D. of South Bend;
11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her mother, Lillith Campbell
of South Bend; and two brothers, Tommie G. Campbell of Granger
and Michael Campbell of South Bend. She was a member of Caledonia
Kilty Band.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Bubb
Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. Burial will be
in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Friends may call from 2 to 8
p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be
made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.
