SOUTH BEND - Services for Rev. Ray M.
Cogdell, 78, of 122 N. Carlisle St., who died at 5 a.m.
Thursday in St. Joseph's Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m.
Monday in Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in
Highland Cemetery. Clark's Funeral Chapel is in charge of
arrangements.
Rev. Cogdell was an associate minister at
Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church and a retired self-employed
cabinetmaker. He was born Jan. 18, 1918, in Carroll County,
Tenn., coming here in August 1937, from Huntington, Tenn.
Surviving are two daughters, Paulette Ann Lathon of Texas
and Caroline Cogdell Watson of San Antonio; three sons,
Joseph, Ray M. Jr. and William, all of San Antonio; two
grandchildren; a sister, Maezola Jones of Murray, Ky.; and
two brothers, Floyd of Murray and Andrain of South Bend. He was
an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the church.
