Mishawaka – Mrs. Eugenie Coesens, 88, of 427 E. 10th Street, died at 7:30 p.m. Friday is St. Joseph Hospital after a two week illness. She was born in Loudenhulfe, Belgium on April 19, 1880, and came to Mishawaka in 1905 from Loudenhulle.
On March 18, 1905 as Eugneie Cornelis she married Cyril Coesens, who died in 1917.
Surviving are a son, Richard Coesend of York, Pa., three daughters, Mrs. John V. Korpal of South Bend, Sister M. Cyril of Belle Plaine, Minn., and Mrs Fabian Gerstbauer of Mishawaka; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. Sunday in the Sprague Funeral Home, where arrangements are incomplete. Mrs. Coesens was a member f the Senior Altar Society of St. Bavo’s Catholic Church.

Services for Mrs. Eugenie C. Coesens, 88, of 427 E. 10th Street, who died Friday, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Bavo’s Church, Rev. Stephen Cvaniga officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call after 10 a.m. today in the Sprague Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
