Michael Lee Coder, 50, residing on Greenlawn Avenue, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away Monday, March 18, in his residence. He was born Feb. 6, 1952, in Niles, Mich., as the son of Adalbert Samuel and Agnes Jane (Przybylinski) Coder, and had lived in this community most of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by two brothers, Samuel and Jack Coder. He is survived by his daughter, Brandi Renee Coder of Niles; a son, Michael James Lancaster (Karyn Saunders) of Avon, Conn.; three grandchildren, Michael Harry and Abigail Jane Lancaster, and Brittany Renee Coder; a sister, Patricia Dobrucki of Mishawaka; and by two brothers, Larry Coder of Auburn, Ind., and Jim Coder of Texas.
Michael was a self-employed electrician, and served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam era.
Services for Michael Lee Coder will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 22, in the Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Graveside services and burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, South Bend, where members of V.F.W. Post #360 will conduct military rites. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Palmer Funeral Home.
