WYATT - Betty Jane Cline (Logan), 85 years of age, died
September 20, 2008. Betty Cline, a loving wife and devoted
mother, died the early morning of September 20, 2008, from heart
failure and other complications. She leaves a legacy of love and
care for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She
passes on to her descendents an appreciation of the arts and the
beauty of nature. Anyone who knew Betty immediately recognized
her strong devotion to family. Betty, the daughter of Helen and
Thomas Logan, was born November 26, 1922, in Indianapolis,
Indiana. She graduated from Shortridge High School in 1941. Betty
met her handsome to-be husband, Kenneth (Kenny) L. Cline
(deceased), while he was finishing medical school at Indiana
University in Indianapolis. They were married on August 19th,
1944, and spent the first few years of marriage at Ft.
Leavenworth, Kansas, while Kenny was in the Army.
They settled in Wyatt, Indiana, after the
war where Kenny practiced medicine for over 60 years. During that
time Betty was very active in the St. Joseph's Hospital Ladies
Auxiliary. She was involved in fundraising projects that included
stage productions, gift shop and the annual Charity Ball. Betty
was also very active in the arts, including acting in and
directing local theatrical productions. She became an
accomplished water color artist and an avid amateur gemologist.
Betty is survived by her children, Michael and his wife, Jane in
Las Vegas, Nevada, Betty and her husband, Kurt Catterlin
in Michigan City, Indiana, Kathleen and her husband, Frank Santilli
in Mishawaka, Indiana, Elizabeth and her husband, Paul Warfield
in Lexington, Kentucky; 11 wonderful and caring grandchildren and
three beautiful great-grandchildren; as well as her sister,
Helen; brothers, Martin and Anthony; nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held in the Kerr Funeral
Home, located at Harrodsburg Road on the west side of Lexington,
Kentucky, the evening of Sept. 22, 2008. Funeral services and
Mass will be held the morning of Sept. 23rd in Mary, Queen of the
Holy Rosary, 601 Hill'n Dale Road, Lexington. Betty will be
interred with her beloved husband in a mausoleum at the beautiful
Lexington, Kentucky, cemetery following the Mass. Donations on
behalf of Betty Cline may be made to the Danny Thomas St. Jude's
Hospital, Memphis, TN, in Betty's name.
