Obituary : South Bend Tribune 2/2/1948
Mrs. Carrie Clem, 629 Cottage Grove Avenue, died at 5:10am today in her
residence after six month illness. She was born in Walkerton, Ind., and
came here 50 years ago. She was the widow of William Clem, a former
superintendent of St Joseph county schools. He died in 1928. She
leaves a son, Frank Clem, Elizabeth, NJ; one granddaughter; a twin sister, Mrs
Clara Miller, of South Bend and another sister, Mrs Hattie Hagadorn, Denver,
Colo. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian church. Friends
will be received in the Welsheimer funeral home until funeral rites there at 10
am Wednesday. Rev. Frank Cleveland Matrick, pastor of Westminster church,
will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview cemetery.

Pallbearers for Mrs Carrie Clem, 629 Cottage Grove Avenue, for whom funeral
services will be conducted at 10 am Wednesday in the Welsheimer funeral home
will be George Buechner, Edward Buechner, George Kichmeyer, Andrew Johnson,
Thomas Rafelski and William Heil. Burial will be in Riverview cemetery.
