Naomi O. Clemans

Naomi O. Clemans, 72, of Fairington
Circle, South Bend, Ind., died at 10:22 a.m. Saturday morning,
April 12, 1997, at the Hospice Center in South Bend, Ind., after
a brief illness. Naomi was born on July 19, 1924 to Forenzo Cherryholmes
and Catherine Trieschler in Steger, Ill. (Chicago
Heights).
Coming from Illinois, she married Chester
Clemans on Jan. 2, 1944, in South Bend and had lived here since.
Her husband, Chester, preceded her in death, Aug. 8, 1955. Mrs.
Clemans is survived by three daughters, Patricia Baba of
White Pigeon, Mich., Sue Henderson of Wyatt, Ind. and
Phyllis Kaetzer of Mishawaka. Naomi is also survived by a
brother, Ralph Cherryholmes of Lady Lake, Fla.
Naomi was a loving grandmother to six
grandchildren, Kim Miller of South Bend, Brian Kaetzer of
Mishawaka, Michelle and Michael Henderson, both of Wyatt, and
Robin and Tricia Baba of White Pigeon. She also had four
great-grandchildren, Chad and Cara Miller of South Bend and Cody
and Caitlin Kaetzer also of South Bend. Naomi spent her life as a
loving and caring homemaker and was very active in the Lions
club, winning the Melvin Jones Award. She was also very active in
the Robin Hood Golf Club and a member of the Elks Bowling League.
Friends and family may call for visitation
on Monday, April 14, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at
Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3718 S. Michigan St.,
South Bend. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 15,
at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Sam Oliver will officiate. Burial
will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind., following
the services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that
memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Center, 111
Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, Ind, 46637.
