Marion Ralph Clay, 80, of 2302 Kern Road, died Friday in Memorial Hospital. He was born March 11, 1889 in Lakeville and lived in the area all his life.

He married Bessie Henderson in North Liberty in 1910. She died in 1967. Surviving are; three sons, Gerald of Plymouth, and Donald and James of South Bend; four daughters, Mrs. Alta Richards and Mrs. Helen Pippenger, both of Lakeville, Mrs. Betty Wilcox of Plymouth, and Mrs. Mary Guhter of South Bend; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Harden Memorial Chapel, Lakeville. Services will be in the chapel at 1 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery.
