MISHAWAKA - Evelyn Mae Clawson, 64, of 809 Dale Ave., died at 1:05 p.m. Monday in Ironwood Health & Rehabilitation Center, South Bend. Mrs. Clawson retired in 1982 from the South Bend Police Department after five years of service.

She was born May 15, 1929, in Mishawaka. She is survived by two sons, Robert E. of Holiday, Fla., and Steven C. of Millington, Tenn.; two grandchildren; a sister, Lois J. Merritt of Mishawaka; and a brother, William H. Lechlitner of Mishawaka. She was a member of Milburn Boulevard Church of Christ.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
