Ruby J. Clase, 83, of East Battell,
Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 7:44 a.m. on Monday, March 20, in
St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka. Ruby was born in
Kentucky on March 26, 1916, to Otis and Ava (Sparks) Young,
who have both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in
death by five brothers, Jesse Young, Robert Young, Roy Young,
Carl Young and Bruce Young; and by a sister, Grace Gibson.
On June 20, 1939, in Liberty, Ind., as Ruby
J. Young, she married William F. Chase, who also preceded her in
death on Oct. 3, 1985. She retired from Uniroyal after 20 years
of service. She was a member of Southside General Baptist Church,
Mishawaka.
She is survived by a son, Richard (Jane) Oligee
of Elkhart, Ind.; five grandchildren, Gregory (Sue) Oligee of New
Paris, Ind., and their four children, and their grandchild,
Pamela (Larry) Tice of Elkhart, and their child, Dana
(Richard) Mehl of Goshen, Ind., and their three children,
Eric (Brenda) Oligee of Elkhart, and their two children, and
Rachel (Peter) Ciesiolka of Niles, Mich., and their two
children.
Services were at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March
23, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 North Main Street,
Mishawaka. Rev. Adolph Lacy officiated. Burial followed at Chapel
Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind.
