SOUTH BEND - Robert E. Clark, beloved husband, father and grandfather died peacefully in his sleep on November 29, 2008. Robert was born May 27th, 1924 in South Bend, Indiana to the Reverend John W. and Florence Clark. He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Wesley, John W. and Theodore and by one sister, Florence. Robert graduated from James Whitcomb Riley High School and was an armed forces veteran, having honorably served in World War II. He was employed for over 30 years at Adams Engineering in South Bend, Indiana, where he retired. Robert married Peggy Jean Myers on February 27, 1947 in New Paris, Indiana. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Peggy and four daughters, Victoria Sue Clark, Linda C. (William) Deaton, Kathleen (Chris) Harvel, and Michelle Clark, six grandchildren, Leyla Oglesby; Timothy Parrish; Michael (Emily) Sausman; Frank Sausman; Jason (Casey) Tolley, and Samantha Mitchell. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
