SOUTH BEND - George F. Clark, 88, of South Bend, passed
away of natural causes in Hospice House of St. Joseph County on
August 2, 2008. George was born August 4, 1919, to the late Fred
C. and Clara May (Fuller) Clark in Crawford, Nebraska. On
September 5, 1947, George married his wife Jean in South Bend,
Indiana. Jean preceded him in death, passing away in July 2004.
George is survived by one sister, Anna Bell Ramey of
Roanoke, Virginia. George enlisted in the U.S. Army and served
until his honorable discharge in 1945. He was employed by the
South Bend Supply Company for many years in the machine shop
before his retirement. George was a member of the Hillside
Missionary Church and a lifetime member of VFW Post #1167.
A graveside service will be held at 12:30
p.m. Tuesday, August 5, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
Chapel Hill Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Donations in
his memory may be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative
Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
