Donabel M. Clark,
87, of Grove Street, Ardmore, died at 4:30 p.m. Monday, February 6, in her
residence.
Donabel was born
Feb. 4, 1919, in Bourbon, IN, to the late Jessie and Bertha (Faulkner) Manges.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Lorene Rynearson; and two brothers,
Ernest and Earl Manges. On May 22, 1937, in South Bend, as Donabel Manges, she
married Leo O. Clark, who died August 7, 1976.
Donabel is
survived by two daughters, Marie E. (Herman) Williams of South Bend and Malia
E. (Rodney) Mann of Shelbyville, Ind.; two sons, Gary L. (Sonja) Clark of
Ontario, Calif., and Jessie L. Clark of Shelbyville, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren
and 30 great-grandchildren
As a homemaker,
Donabel also worked as an Avon representative for 25 years. She was a member of
First Brethren Church of Ardmore.
Funeral services
will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home,
521 N. William St., South Bend, with Rev. Greg Crump of South Side Church of
God officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may
visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
