Rev. Raymond J. Clancy CSC, 70, a
teacher for many years, died at 9 a.m. today in St. Joseph
Hospital. Born March 3, 1894 Father Clancy had been a resident of
the Holy Cross House, Notre Dame, since he became ill in 1961. A
member of the Eastern Province of the Holy Cross Fathers he
received his M.A. degree in 1932 from the University of Notre
Dame and the University of Portland. He is survived by a brother,
Clare Clancy, of Toronto.
The office of the dead will be chanted at 5
p.m. Thursday in Sacred Heart Church, Notre Dame, ehere mass will
be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. Friday. Friends may call Thursday at
Corby Hall. Interment will be in Community Cemetery, Notre Dame.
