Mishawaka - Edna I. Citti, 93, who resided on Strathmoor Avenue, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 19, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend, Ind.
Mrs. Citti was born on Dec. 17, 1907, in Nashville, Tenn., to William Edward and Belle (Griffin) Corbit. On June 3, 1935, in Nashville, she married Frank I. Citti, who survives. She had resided in this community since 1941, coming from Nashville, and worked for Bendix and Uniroyal during World War II.
Surviving along with her husband of 65 years are her daughter, Nancy Murphy of Monticello, Ind.; five grandchildren, Rick Criswell, Mike Criswell, Robert Criswell, Diane Barthelmass and Donnie Murphy; 11 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Clara Sutton and Lillian Blunkhall, both of Nashville.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today, March 21, in the Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend.
Visitation will also be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 23, in the Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home, Nashville. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Madison, Tenn. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Nashville.
