SOUTH BEND - Deborah Lee Cira, residing in South Bend, passed
away at 4:03 a.m. Monday, October 27, 2008 in Memorial Hospital,
surrounded by her loving family, following a twenty month
courageous battle with cancer. She was 52 years old. She was born
December 10, 1955 in Lafayette, IN, the daughter of Wayne L.
& Jane (Miller) Amber, and has lived in South Bend most of
her life. She attended St. Mary's Academy and graduated from
Riley High School. She was a licensed real estate agent, formerly
with Cressy-Everett. She most recently was a home child care
provider, and was former owner with her husband of M & D
Cira's Mini Mart Service in Granger. On December 21, 1985 in
South Bend she was united in marriage to Michael A. Cira who
survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Rachel Williams-Brown
and her husband Richard Brown II of Indianapolis, Lauren A. Cira
of South Bend, her son, Michael J. Cira of South Bend, and her
parents, Jane & Captain Ed Friend of South Bend. In addition,
she is survived by four brothers, John Amber of Jupiter, FL;
Robert Amber of North Webster, IN; Edward H. Friend of Oreana,
IL; and Thomas Friend of Chicago, IL; her father-in-law, and
mother-in-law, Joseph & Rose Cira of South Bend, and her
beloved dog "Max". She was preceded in death by her
father, Wayne L. Amber, and infant son, Adam Williams. Debbie was
a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister. Her family was
always most important and dear to her. She was an avid gardener,
and # 1 fan of Robin Trower. Private family services will be held
at a later date. Arrangements for the Cira family are being made
by the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel. Contributions in
memory of Deborah L. Cira may be offered to the family c/o Palmer
Funeral Home, 3718 South Michigan Street, South Bend, IN 46614.
