SOUTH BEND - Virginia Ciesielski, 85, passed away on
Thursday, April 3, 2008, at 5:15 p.m. in Caring Junction,
Mishawaka. Virginia was born on May 4, 1922, in South Bend, to
the late John and Blanche (Michalski) Turczynski.
In 1943 she married Chester Ciesielski, who
preceded her in death in 1948. She was also preceded in death by
a brother, Ervin Turk; three sisters, Dolores Polak,
Margaret Bergman and Mary Ann Turczynski; and a grandson,
Ronnie Ciesielski. She is survived by her son, Ron Ciesielski;
five grandchildren, Steve (Tracey) Ciesielski of South Bend, Chet
(Kerry) Ciesielski of Ft. Wayne, Barbie (Steve) Gruler of
Mishawaka, Jennifer Ciesielski of South Bend and Robert
Ciesielski of South Bend; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters,
Barbara (Bill) Ford of South Bend and Joan (Saeed) Siade
of Elkhart; four brothers, John (Elsie) Turk of South
Bend, Norbert (Barb) Turczynski of New Carlisle, IN, Robert (Pat)
Turk of South Bend and Eugene (Linda) Turczynski of South Bend;
and by her granddaughter-in-law, Karen Ciesielski. Virginia was a
member of MR Falcon. She enjoyed watching Notre Dame football and
Chicago Cubs games. She went to her grandchildren's games and
enjoyed spending time with them.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 8, from
11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower
Road, South Bend, where a Rosary will be prayed at 11 a.m. A
funeral liturgy will begin at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial
will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. Memorial
contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice or to the
donor's choice.
