MISHAWAKA - Frank Ciavatta, 91, of 2026 Milburn Blvd., died at 8:15 a.m. today in the Ridgedale Nursing Home after a two-day illness. He was a retired Studebaker employee. Born on March 28, 1889 in Rimini, Italy, he lived in this area since 1914, coming from Ilaly.

On Feb. 2, 1918 in Mishawaka, he married Prima Canarreci. She died in 1974. He is survived by four daughters; Mra. Alpha Decker of Lansing, Mich.; Mrs Adeline Rice of Mishawaka; Mrs. Inez VanOoteghem of South Bend; and Mrs. Norma Sipress of Michigan City; 11 grsnfchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a greast-great-grandchild.

Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Thallmer-Goethals Funeral Home in Mishawaka. Services will be in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Saturday, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. He was a member of St. Bavo’s Catholic Church, and a charter member of the DeAmicis Club.
