Boleslaus
(Bill) Cholewczynski, 77, of 2422 Poland St., died at 5:10
p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He
retired from the Studebaker Corp. in 1961. Born Dec. 5, 1895, in
South Bend, he married Stella Zalewski, who survives. Also
surviving are a son, Norbert of South Bend; five daughters, Miss
Teresa, at home, and Mrs. Adaline Hes, Mrs. Virginia Kilesiak,
Mrs. Gertrude Van Laere, and Mrs. Dorothy Kujawski,
all of South Bend; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a
brother, Leo of South Bend, and two sisters, Mrs. Helen Wasikowski
and Miss Mary Cholewczysnki, both of South Bend.
Friends may
call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from noon to 9 p.m. Friday in
the St. Joseph Funeral Home. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m.
Saturday in St. Adalbert Catholic Church with Rev. Eugene J.
Kazmierczak, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph
Cemetery. Mr. Cholewczynski was a member of the Holy Name Society
of St. Adalbert Church. A parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
Thursday in the funeral home.
