Ronald E. Cholasinski, 69, of South
Bend, IN, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2003, in Redington
Shores, FL. Mr. Cholasinski was born on August 10, 1933, in South
Bend, to William and Hildegarde (Schultz) Cholasinski. He
retired from Allied Signal where he was employed as a die maker.
On February 7, 1959, in St. Patrick's
Church, South Bend, IN, he married, Patricia L. Abraham,
who survives. Also surviving is his daughter, Toni (Chip) Klingaman
of North Canton, OH; and his two granddaughters, Kristin and
Ariel Klingaman. He was preceded in death by his sister, Gloria
Ann Cholasinski; and by his brother, Billy Cholasinski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1
p.m. Friday, January 24, 2003, in Corpus Christi Church. Burial
will follow in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 until 8
p.m. Thursday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive,
where a parish Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 p.m.
Mr. Cholasinski was a member of Corpus
Christi Parish. He had served in the Naval Air Force on the
aircraft carrier "The Hornet." He loved hunting,
fishing and the outdoors. For many years he was a 4-H Horse and
Pony Club Leader. Ron had a deep interest and knowledge of
antique and historical firearms, and promoted outdoor collector
shows in Northern Indiana for many years. He loved and was proud
of his two granddaughters. Ron loved life and struggled valiantly
with pancreatic cancer, and continued to live well for 18 months
with the skill of Dr. Ansari and the prayers of countless people.
