SOUTH BEND - Malvina "Molly" Zablocki-Chodzinski, 80,
passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2010, in Memorial Hospital,
South Bend. Molly was born on November 15, 1929, in South Bend,
to the late Chester and Helen (Borowski) Lisek. She was also
preceded in death by her son, Thomas Zablocki, on August 2, 1981,
and by her sister, Blondina Lisek. On May 22, 2004, in St. Hedwig
Catholic Church, she married Leo R. Chodzinski, who survives
along with her daughter, Ruth Jones of Mishawaka; three
stepdaughters, Christine (Clent) Edgil of South Bend, Judy (Jay)
McClain of Three Rivers, MI, and Linda Smith of South Bend;
several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and by her
brother, Victor J. (Anita) Lisek of Cheyenne, WY. Molly was a
member of the American Legion Auxiliary Pulaski 357. She was a
past member of St. Adalbert Choir and St. Adalbert Young Ladies
Solidarity. She was an accordionist with polka bands for 16
years. Molly retired from Memorial Hospital where she started off
as a switchboard operator and then was promoted to secretary of
engineering. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on
Friday, March 19, 2010, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S.
Mayflower Road, where a funeral liturgy will begin at 6:00 p.m.
Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery. For those who are
unable to attend the funeral liturgy, condolences for the family
