Stanley J. Chelminiak

March 28, 1908 - 10/27/1974

Stanley J. Chelminiak, 66, of 1349 N. Wilber St., died Sunday morning in his home.  A former Studebaker Corp employee, Mr. Chelminiak retired in 1973 from the Southwestern National Bank, Niles, after working there for nine years.

Born March 28, 1908, in South Bend, he had lived here all his life.  On February 11, 1929, he married Stella V. Walkowski, who survives.  Also surviving are a son, Stan J. of South Bend, five grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Czubek and Tillie Chelminiak, both of Toledo OH.

Friends may call until 9pm today at the Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home.  Services will be at 10am Tuesday in the Holy Cross Catholic Church.  Rev. William J. Neidhart, CSC, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery.  Mr. Chelminiak was a member of Arie 435, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and Nest 4, M.R. Falcons.  A parish rosary will be recited at 7:30pm today in the funeral home.
