GRANGER - Richard L. Chapman, 52, of Granger, passed away at 3:30
p.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2010, in Your Home Assisted Living,
South Bend, after a battle with cancer. Richard was born on
October 2, 1957, in Niles, MI, to Herbert and Mary (Wetmore)
Chapman. On October 25, 2003, he married Barbara Armour. He
worked for Tyler Fridgeration Corp. of Niles for 19 years. He is
survived by his wife, Barbara of Granger; four children, Tanya
(Jamie) Warren of Mishawaka, Richard (Jennifer) Chapman II of
South Bend, Susan (Christian) Bryce of South Bend and Amanda
Davis of South Bend; 12 grandchildren, Bruno, John, Julie,
Austin, Katamina, Richard III, Joshua, Evan, Christian, Carson,
Bobbie and Kylea. He is also survived by his parents, Herbert
(Mary) Chapman of South Bend; six brothers, William, Lawrence,
Joseph, James, Michael and Robert Chapman; and four sisters, Mary
Jo Lewindowski, Susan Wilder, Patricia Hensley and Julie Carney.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Jean and Ann. Visitation
will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2010, in
Chapel Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. A Mass of
Christian Burial will take place at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, February
6, 2010, in St. Monica Catholic Church, 222 W. Mishawaka Avenue,
Mishawaka, with one hour of visitation prior to the Mass in
church. Rev. Jeff Largent will officiate. Burial will follow at
Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. The family would like to
