Mary K. (McKelvey) Chapman, 48, of St. Andrew's Circle, Mishawaka, Ind., formerly of Battle Creek, Mich., died at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, March 24, in St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center. She was born on May 17, 1951, in South Bend, Ind., and lived in this area since October 1999, coming from Battle Creek, having lived there for 20 years. Mrs. Chapman retired in 1997 from the Kellogg Corporation after 13 years of service.

On June 12, 1971, in South Bend, as Mary McKelvey, she married Allan Chapman, who preceded her in death in May 1987. She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Chapman of Mishawaka; a sister, Becky Lister of South Bend; and two brothers, Jim McKelvey of South Bend and Patrick McKelvey of Mishawaka.

Family and friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday in Holy Family Catholic Church, with burial to follow in Southlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 711 E.
